ASAP AVIONICS is dedicated to improving the safety and longevity of your aircraft and in our 10th year of operations are proud to announce the arrival of state of the art Integrated Cockpit Display Systems ICDS for the retrofit market.
We are currently certifying the Sagem ICDS System on several aircraft types including the DHC3 Otter, Puma, and Robinson R44.
Of the many advantages of this system over analogue gauges are
- SAFETY with improved Situation Awareness and many add on features including Terrain , Traffic TCAD and Cameras (both FLIR & NTSC).
- SAFETY AND COST with the built in trend monitoring and Data transfer capability.
- SAFETY AND COST with maintenance free display Mean Time Between Failure MTBF is 48000 hrs on these units...that's an awful lot of flight time!
- Plus you will have changed out many of your Mechanical Gyros and gauges long before this time.
- LIGHTER and easier to install with a fraction of the wiring required by normal electric gauges.
- COST in many cases the display is actually cheaper than a set of mechanical /analogue turbine gauges.

Displays in cockpits are quickly evolving. Many electromechanical instruments are being replaced by electronic displays with a small number of flat screens.

Multifunction Display (MFD)
The Multifunction Display (MFD) is capable of displaying almost anything you have seen displayed before. In either full-screen or split-screen you may configure it for engine instrument, GPS moving map, cameras or video. Also featuring terrain, traffic, wather, faultfinding, maintenance page, and so much more.
Primary Flight Display (PFD)
The Primary Flight Display (PFD), utilizing a solid-state attitude heading and reference system (AHARS) along with the air data computer replaces all the standard analog gauges.
Screen versions
Screens come in 6", 8" and 10" versions and can be oriented landscape or portrait.
Civil helicopter piloting/cockpit
Sagem, with its wide variety of multi-function flat screens, is in a position to design and make "glass cockpits" on request, for all types of carriers (aircraft, helicopters) and all types of displays; main flight display, engine surveillance, traffic and weather surveillance, digital map of the site being over flown.
